Advani called, Kasab & company responded; rest you know very well
I was sitting with few of my journalist friends last night in a tight but cozy bar. New year was expected in a few minutes. One of us (he works for Amar Ujala — a Hindi daily) just announced in a very secretive mode, “It was Advani actually who called Kasab & company and it was Modi who provide them safe access to the Indian waters (remember Porbandar’s port was used during the strikes). had it been little late than whole BJP was in prison for Malegaon incident!”
There was no reaction from other journalists as if they were aware of this whole story but I was not amused at all. I went into silence for few moments and than reacted sharply,” Saale, marne wali baat mat kar (Don’t talk rubbish, if someone will listen than you’re history).” He smiled scarcastically, “kis maadarchod ki himmat hai mujhe haath lagaa ke dekhe (No one can dare touch me).”
The discussion ended without reaching any conclusion as crowd was getting dense by the minute and year was at it’s fag end. As I puffed last from the joint a very comical female actress announced on Aaj Tak, “Happy New Year 2009……..” as if we were not aware of it. Everyone was shaking hands and hugging each other with loud cheers of Happy New Year to everybodieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, a channel was showing Home Minister Pranab Mukerjee saying something from century old vocabulary of Indian National Congress while my firebrand hindi daily journalist friend was not feeling well due to access drinking (usually they* drink from other pockets so they cannot control themselves).
